About the Author
I am an African-American single mother of three lovely kids and a caregiver to several others I treat as my own. Life has not been easy at times, but I have faced everything with love, laughter, and a sense of purpose.
Once I finished high school with honours, I went to community college, but I could not keep up with a full-time job and my first kid to care for. Even though my learning had to slow down, I did not give up. I attended various courses over several years and obtained my associate’s degree in Social Behavioural Sciences in 2011, hoping to encourage my kids and show them that they can achieve their goals.
Even though I spend a lot of time in the hospital, I do what I can to enjoy my life by traveling, listening to music, going to comedy shows, spending time with my family, and helping others. I am very spiritual, and I am sure that what you give eventually comes back to you. I am very thankful, and there is still much more to happen.
